CONCORD, N.C. — MilkSplash™ Milk Flavoring has joined the Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation (HWCF), a broad coalition of more than 255 retailers, food and beverage manufacturers, restaurants and other organizations committed to help reduce obesity — especially childhood obesity. The Healthy Weight Commitment Foundation promotes ways to help people achieve a healthy weight through energy balance — calories in and calories out. It focuses its efforts on two critical areas — families and schools.
"We are very excited to partner with the foundation and look forward to helping develop more programs to help children lead healthy, active lifestyles," said John Buckner, Vice President of Marketing for S&D Beverage Innovations, the company behind MilkSplash. "By making milk more appealing to kids and parents alike- with exciting, unexpected flavors and no added calories or sugar – we are proud to do our part to make it easier for people to make good choices about what they eat and drink.
"This is a great opportunity for brands, organizations, and individuals to collaborate and make lasting dietary and nutritional changes together," Buckner added. "We hope to work with our new partners to create a wide variety of solutions, enabling kids everywhere to achieve their goals."
