Columbine Vineyards staff along with industry professionals gathered to launch a new state-of-the-art cold storage. The new facility is a model of energy efficiency, safety and sustainability.
“We are very proud of the dedicated team of professionals who have diligently constructed a facility that combines traditional agriculture with advanced technologies making the preservation of our grapes more efficient,” said Martin Caratan, President, M. Caratan Inc.
The completed Cold Storage is 204,200 square-feet. With a three quarter million box capacity structure, the grand size reflects the vision, growth and sustainability for this fourth generation family farm.
“Adding this facility into our organization will provide us with the capacity to receive and ship more than 200,000 boxes a day and the design expands Columbine Vineyards ability to preserve the superb taste, freshness and nutritional value of our high quality grapes,” added Caratan.
Columbine Vineyards is a fourth generation family-owned and operated table grape grower, packer, and shipper located in the heart of California’s San Joaquin Valley.
