Dollar stores like Dollar General, Dollar Tree, and Family Dollar are increasingly utilizing third-party delivery services. A notable partnership between Uber and Family Dollar allows delivery from over 5,000 locations, featuring categories such as cleaning supplies, food items, and beauty products. This collaboration marks Uber’s entry into the discount retail sector, deemed essential for its retail growth, according to Nathan Bernheim, head of grocery and retail enterprise sales at Uber.

Uber announced a partnership with Family Dollar, emphasizing the ability to offer more affordable products. The dollar-store chain will make products from more than 5,000 locations available for delivery through Uber Eats. The product categories available include cleaning supplies, food items, beauty products and baby care.
While Uber has had grocery and retail partnerships since 2020, Family Dollar is Uber’s first national partner in the discount retail space, a category Nathan Bernheim, head of grocery and retail enterprise sales at Uber, said is key to the company’s growing retail business.
