Lancaster, PA – Kegel’s Produce 70th Anniversary Open House was celebrated on Wednesday, October 17th. Cooking demonstrations, facility tours and plenty of tastings made for a very festive occasion for all the customers, staff, family and friends in attendance. Highlights of the event included speeches by C.O.O. Kenny Myers who thanked all those who contributed to the on-going success of Kegel’s Produce and Angie Eichelberger, the District Director from the Office of Senator Scott Martin, who bestowed an official Senate of PA award congratulating them for the 70 years in business.
Their current Old Tree Drive location, which opened in March of 2004 and provides 105,000 square feet of refrigerated warehouse space was open for tours. The Produce Playground, equipped with tv monitors, enabled the audience to watch as the in-house chef’s prepared inviting recipes. Kegel’s Produce continues to make it their goal to exceed customer expectations and ensure satisfaction for their partners in food safety. Updated inventory control, routing and tracking systems accommodate timely deliveries and they continue to work with many local farms, while servicing regional and national customers.
