Hensbroek, The Netherlands – Dekker Chrysanten is ready for the future with a brand-new corporate identity, creative packaging concepts, and plenty of new varieties, flower shapes, and colours. The family-owned business in Hensbroek in the province of Noord-Holland is also making strides in international growth and sustainable process development.
Chrysanthemum Valley
In a playful take on Silicon Valley in San Francisco, the Dekker Chrysanten production facility in Hensbroek will be renamed Chrysanthemum Valley during the flowering trial days held from 11 to 15 June 2018. According to director Cees Dekker, ‘Innovation is in our DNA and we will be presenting the very latest in the field of chrysanthemums including the two-tone painting technique with our Kennedy single-flowered spray chrysanthemum.’Together with G. de Koning trading company from Honselersdijk, the Netherlands, Dekker Chrysanten transforms white flowers into two-toned flowers in any colour combination desired. The painting process is environmentally friendly and does not affect the longevity of the cut flower.
Dekker Selections
Dekker Chrysanten will not only be presenting existing and new chrysanthemums in Hensbroek; from calendar week 24 onwards the mixed box concept Dekker Selections will also be extended with a special packaging for six bunches of different varieties of disbud chrysanthemums at the Royal FloraHolland flower auction. Spray chrysanthemums have been traded successfully in the Dekker Selections mixed box for nine years. Dutch growers and traders are welcome to visit on Wednesday 13 and Thursday 14 June. 250 guests from 20 different countries are expected.
