Tonganoxie City Council Passes Resolution In Opposition To Poultry Plant

The Tonganoxie City Council has approved a resolution expressing opposition to the construction of a poultry plant near the city.
Council members unanimously adopted the resolution during a meeting Monday, City Manager George Brajkovic said.
On Sept. 5, officials with Tyson Foods announced plans to build a $320 million poultry complex south of Tonganoxie.
The proposal faced opposition from local residents.
