Kettle Cuisine Acquires Chef Creations

Orlando-based packaged soup manufacturer Chef Creations has notified the state that it will lay off most of its workforce after selling to Boston-area company Kettle Cuisine.
Layoffs will start April 21 and continue through July, according to a notice filed by the new owner with the state.
Chef Creations was owned by Orlando restaurateur Manny Garcia, who is best known for the former Pebbles Restaurants, and recent involvement in opening Wahlburger’s in downtown Orlando.
The layoffs are occurring at Chef Creations headquarters location at 2215 Tradeport Drive in Orlando, according to the state notice.
