HELENA — The bill allowing the sale of raw milk in Montana won a brief reprieve Monday in the state Senate, only to see it fail, again, on a 25-25 vote.

Sen. Dee Brown, R-Hungry Horse, convinced the Senate Monday to reconsider its vote on Saturday to reject House Bill 245, setting up yet another floor debate on the measure.

But, in the end, the Senate rejected the measure on the same tie vote Monday. Brown said later she doubts she’ll attempt again to pass it.
