Ice Cream, Gelato Makers Form Foodservice Partnership

Gelato and sorbet maker Ciao Bella has announced an official partnership with High Road Craft Ice Cream, giving the New York–based company additional leverage in the high-end foodservice and hospitality segment.

While neither company is acquiring or investing in the other, an agreement has been established in which Ciao Bella has given High Road the exclusive license and rights to manufacture, sell, and represent Ciao Bella products in foodservice and hospitality.

According to Ciao Bella’s CEO, Carlos Canals, the company will continue to operate independently with a focus on its pint business in the natural and specialty supermarket channel. Both companies will handle product development.
