Titan Farms Announces Facility Grand Opening Date

RIDGE SPRING, S.C. – Titan Farms, the premier grower, packer and shipper of peaches and vegetables in the Southeast, confirmed today that the upgrade and expansion of their packing facility is on schedule for a May grand opening. The upgrade includes the installation of a state of the art packing line.

Titan Farms will host a ribbon-cutting celebration on Thursday, May 28. Local dignitaries and VIPs, along with local and national media, will help celebrate and kick off this year’s peach season.

In a continued commitment to growing the peach category and becoming vertically integrated, this innovative upgrade will take Titan Farms’ quality operations to the next level. Along with increasing overall productivity, the enhancements to the facility and new packing equipment will allow them to stand out in a few key areas:

• Quality: Gentler fruit handling and greater accuracy in sizing and color sorting
• Traceability: Offering retailers complete traceability unsurpassed in the peach industry
• Food Safety: Improved cleanup of equipment and automatic bin washing after every use
• Sustainability: Increased energy efficiency leading to a smaller overall carbon footprint

Improvements that come with the facility revamp include the addition of a fumigation chamber and research & development labs, as well as unique hybrid lines and multiple packing lines for higher efficiency. New capabilities for PLU stickering will also be added, along with bin scrubbers and an enhanced carton tracking system to better comply with produce traceability and the commitment to food safety. Cold chain management will also get an update, which includes increased cold storage capacity, and additional upgrades in cold chain monitoring solutions.
