Of all the difficulties there are in the life of a fisherman, one of the most frustrating might very well be having little say in how the resource that you make your livelihood on is managed.
A collection of people who fish on the South coast in NAFO Area 3Ps are working to make sure they’re heard when it comes to the crab fishery in their area, though.
“We don’t have a very optimistic, realistic outlook on the 2015 crab fishery,” says Jeff Collett of the 3Ps Fishers Group.
