Mariano's, the fast-growing Chicago grocery chain, is ready to deliver its message to a broader audience in a bid to woo more shoppers.

Milwaukee-based Roundy's Supermarkets announced Monday it has named Cramer-Krasselt to head up advertising for its Mariano's stores, as well as its Wisconsin grocery chains. For Mariano's, it could represent the first big push into TV and other media since its launch five years ago.

"Scope and scale have gone up here tremendously and very quickly," said Roundy's spokesman Jim Hyland. "I think it's incumbent upon us to find some other mediums to get the message out and to stay in line with that increase in scale."
