Kim Heiman Elected to Second Term as President of Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA)

Heiman, who also served as WCMA President from 2017-2019, will assume leadership on July 1, 2025, succeeding Tim Omer of Emmi Roth as he completes his maximum two-year term in the role.

Arethusa Europa Named U.S. Champion Cheese, Earning Historic Second Consecutive Victory 

Arethusa Europa earned a second consecutive win at the U.S. Championship Cheese Contest, a first in the competition’s history. The aged gouda, made by Arethusa Farm Dairy in Bantam, Connecticut, bested 2,414 entries, winning with a score of 98.89 out of 100, just one hundredth of a point ahead of its closest competition.

A team of 38 technical experts will evaluate 2,414 entries of cheese, butter, cultured products, and dry dairy ingredients in a search to determine the U.S. Champion Cheese.
