Fyffes has chosen to focus its European donations allocation on charities that support women facing gender-based violence, including domestic violence, ahead of this year’s International Women’s Day. The company has donated just under €30,000 to charities that support female victims of violence.

Fyffes Publishes Second Human Rights Impact Assessment and First Human Rights Report

Fyffes has published its second Human Rights Impact Assessment and first Human Rights report, covering the year 2021. The report outlines Fyffes Human Rights Due Diligence approach following the UN Guiding Principles framework. The second Assessment was undertaken by Fyffes using the risk assessment methodology that informed its first Human Rights Impact Assessment, conducted by BSR in 2019 and which included a deep dive in five countries: Honduras, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic and Belize.

Fyffes and Breakfast Club of Canada Announce Partnership to Provide Nutritional Food to Schools in Montreal Where the Need is Greatest

Fyffes and Breakfast Club of Canada (BCC) are delighted to announce a new partnership that will increase fresh fruit servings to school children in Montreal communities where the need is greatest. The pilot program started during the second half of November 2021, and Fyffes has committed to a weekly donation of 5,000 bananas to the Club, aiming to donate an estimated 75,000 bananas by the end of March 2022. Fyffes is also aiming to expand the ongoing program beyond bananas to potentially supply melons, pineapples, and other nutritious fruits in the future.
