A prominent New York City smoked fish company is looking to expand with a commercial development in Brooklyn.
Acme Smoked Fish Corp., a company linked in the area for nearly 100 years, is teaming up with Philadelphia-based real-estate developer Rubenstein Partners on the 583,000-square-foot, multistory project. The Wall Street Journal reports the project will incorporate an 80,000-square-foot manufacturing facility for Acme, whose products are carried widely throughout the city and country.
The rest of the building will be set aside for office use. The complex would be built partly on land that Acme already owns and occupies for its current 65,000 square-foot production facility, while the company would partner with Rubenstein to acquire other nearby parcels.
