GULF COUNTY, Fla – It's finally here… scallop season starts Friday in Gulf County!
From the Mexico Beach Canal in Bay County to the westernmost point of St.Vincent Island in Franklin County, the waters are open for business.
Scallopers are allowed two gallons of whole bay scallops or one pint of bay scallop meat per day. There is a 10 gallon limit for whole bay scallops in the shell or a half a gallon of bay scallop meat per boat.
