CLACKAMAS — The Clackamas County Office of Sustainability honored Pacific Seafood of Clackamas with a Business Recycling Awards Group (BRAG) certificate and plaque.
Glen Kasch serves as operations manager for the business at 16797 S.E. 130th Ave. Recent innovative practices include the conversion of byproducts from seafood and shellfish into organic fertilizer and fish protein; crushing and converting large Styrofoam boxes into small bricks used to make camera bodies, picture frames and other items; composting waxed boxes and turning them into potting soil; recycling plastic wrap; and repairing, reusing or mulching broken pallets and scrap wood.
