PORTLAND, Maine —It appears only a few logistical hurdles are all that stand in the way of a new lobster processing plant opening up along Portland’s Maine State Pier.
At a workshop Tuesday evening, the city’s planning board heard from the operators of Shucks Maine Lobster who said they’re ready to go, as soon as the proper permits are in place.
“I think it can work. I think you can figure it out but you’re not there yet,” said Jack Soley, with the planning board.
