Dungeness Crab Season Officially Begins

SAN FRANCISCO — Tuesday marks the start of commercial Dungeness crab season in the Bay Area, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife has declared.

Last year, the Dungeness crab season was delayed for months by elevated levels of domoic acid, meaning local crab stayed off many Thanksgiving tables.
