Walmart Grocery Pickup Is Launching In Atlantic Canada

MISSISSAUGA, ON – Here ahead of the holidays, Walmart Canada announced today the launch of Walmart Grocery Pickup in Atlantic Canada. Grocery shopping has never been easier – or faster! Starting October 23, this free service is now available in Atlantic Canada, allowing consumers to shop for their groceries online on Walmart.ca/Grocery, or through the Walmart app, and pick up at select Nova Scotia and New Brunswick Walmart stores. Walmart's Grocery Pickup is currently available at select locations in Ontario, Quebec, Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and now New Brunswickand Nova Scotia.

With this new service, customers can place a grocery order for pick up from a location that is convenient for them, from the comfort of home, at work, or on-the-go. Walmart's pickup service can help Canadians save time and money.

Highly-trained grocery associates prepare the order, carefully selecting each product. Shoppers simply pull into a designated pickup parking spot, alerting an associate of their arrival. Their order is brought out and loaded directly into their vehicle. The minimum online grocery order is $50before taxes.

Mobile check-in gives consumers even more choice
Launching on October 23 in 22 locations and five markets across the country, mobile check-in is a new feature of the Walmart app allowing customers to choose to advise the store that they are on their way to pick up their order. Thirty minutes prior to their scheduled pick up time, customers will receive a push notification prompting them to check-in with a single tap. Store associates then receive a notification when the customer is 10 minutes out. As a result, the customer's order is ready upon their arrival in the designated Grocery Pickup parking area.

Customers can shop for fresh groceries, including Canada No. 1 grade fruits and vegetables and organic produce, Canadian AAA Angus beef, pork, chicken and seafood.
