Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace Opens New Long Island Location

MELVILLE, N.Y. – Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace announced that its new Greenvale, N.Y., location at Wheatley Plaza is now open for business. The new marketplace, located at 130 Wheatley Plaza, officially opened on August 14 following an 11 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony and a grand opening celebration designed to bring the full Uncle Giuseppe’s experience to Nassau County’s North Shore.

As part of the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Uncle Giuseppe’s presented a $100,000 donation to Cohen Children’s Medical Center, representing funds raised through a customer fundraiser matched by the Uncle Giuseppe’s family.

To mark the opening, Uncle Giuseppe’s showcased a 2,100-pound wheel of cheddar cheese made in Wisconsin, carved into a beautiful Uncle Giuseppe’s storefront complete with Roman columns. Guests also enjoyed cannoli cart samplings, hot bread samplings, fresh mozzarella tastings, and the ceremonial cutting of rare 10-year-aged and 25-year-aged Parmigiano Reggiano.

The celebration also featured artisans from Italy showcasing handmade charcuterie and antipasto selections, along with ice sculptures displayed in the seafood department, creating a festive marketplace atmosphere throughout the store.

Located at 130 Wheatley Plaza, the new Greenvale store serves communities across Nassau County’s North Shore, including Greenvale, Roslyn, Old Westbury, Brookville, Glen Cove, Oyster Bay, Locust Valley, and surrounding areas.

The Greenvale store is also creating a significant number of jobs on Nassau County’s North Shore. Uncle Giuseppe’s opened with a fully staffed store, with approximately 250 team members. That’s part of the company’s broader goal to hire approximately 1,000 team members over the next 12 months as it continues to grow across the Northeast, including New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Openings are available across the company in all departments, including deli, meat, seafood, bakery, prepared foods, produce, grocery, cashiering, customer service, and management. Skilled food professionals are especially encouraged to apply, including bakers and bread makers, cake decorators, butchers, seafood mongers, pizza makers, pasta and mozzarella makers, baristas, chocolatiers, and other culinary and fresh-food specialists.
