The Quality Markets brand name is gone.
Tops Friendly Markets has officially converted 15 now-former Quality Markets to the Tops corporate moniker. The switch is the latest chapter after Tops acquired 79 supermarkets from the financially-ailing Penn Traffic Co. chain in January.
The complete rebranding will be done by the end of this year.
Tops is investing more than $90 million in the next two years renovating and upgrading many of the Penn Traffic stores it has acquired and retained, along with some on-going renovations to existing Tops locations.
