Albuquerque, NM (5/10/10) – Sunflower Farmers Market will open the doors of its fourth Albuquerque location, sixth in New Mexico, on Wednesday, June 2 at 7:00 a.m. The new market, located in the Heights Village Plaza at 11205 Montgomery Blvd. NE and Juan Tabo Blvd. NE, promises an exciting shopping experience with a focus on Healthy Values, Naturally!
The Albuquerque opening marks the 30th store in the natural foods grocery chain. Grand Opening festivities will kick off on Wednesday, June 2 at 6:45 a.m. with food samplings, giveaways and incredible grocery specials. The first 200 customers on opening day will receive a FREE reusable shopping bag filled with a sampling of Sunflower’s healthy groceries, valued at over $50.00, with any in-store purchase. Customers are encouraged to arrive early, as the line typically forms hours before the store opens. A special Sunflower garland-cutting ceremony will be held before doors open at 7:00 a.m.
Free samples from virtually every Sunflower department will be given away all day and guests can enjoy entertainment from local performers. From 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the grill will sizzle for an on-site barbeque featuring free samples of all-natural Harris Ranch beef. A kids’ activities tent will feature cooking classes, crafts and games. Other local vendors and entertainers will also be on hand throughout the day.
“We are eager to grow our Serious Food at Silly Prices® grocery chain even further in Albuquerque. We bring a high-quality, affordable grocery option to residents.
