Sanese Services Inc. has a new owner. The Columbus-based food service, vending and catering business has been acquired by Warren-based AVI Foodsystems Inc., Columbus Business First has learned.
Calls to Sanese, which is identifying itself as AVI Foodsystems Sanese Division, were referred to AVI. An individual at AVI confirmed the acquisition but declined to comment.
Sanese, founded in 1946 by brothers Al and Ralph Sanese, was Central Ohio’s fourth-largest family-owned business with 650 employees, 450 of them in the Columbus area, according to Business First research. It reported 2012 revenue of $50 million.
