H Mart Chain Expected To Place $5 Million Worth Of Orders In Taiwan

Taipei – A delegation from H Mart, a supermarket chain headquartered in the eastern United States, is expected to order US$5 million worth of goods from Taiwan this year, the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) said Thursday.

On its first visit to Taiwan, the delegation met with representatives of 90 Taiwanese businesses at a recent trade show in Taipei and placed orders for frozen prepared foods, seafood, sauces, snacks and beverages, TAITRA said. At the fair, the H Mart delegation explained to the business representatives the chain’s operational model and supply requirements, TAITRA said.

The supermarket chain, which specializes in Asian foods, is expected to place about US$5 million worth of orders with Taiwanese suppliers
