Scott Welman is now Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer.
Scott is now focusing on all aspects of new store and business development as well as strategic growth opportunities for AWG as Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer for AWG. Scott joined AWG in 2004 as Vice President of Legal Affairs, after providing strategic and legal counsel to AWG for many years while he worked at a prominent local law firm. After serving in that role for several years, Scott led the successful start-up of our military supply subsidiary, Always Fresh. Scott re-joined the corporate staff in 2014 as Senior Vice President, focusing on business development and other strategic matters. In 2016, Scott was promoted to Executive Vice President, Real Estate, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. In his new role, Scott will lead the business development team and continue to oversee the company’s departments of real estate, engineering, and Design & Décor Source Group (DSG).
Stephanie Becker has been promoted to Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary.
Stephanie is succeeding Scott Welman as AWG’s General Counsel. She began with AWG’s legal department in 2005. Prior to joining AWG, Stephanie spent several years working for a real estate developer in the Czech Republic, as well as a prominent local law firm, as a real estate attorney. Stephanie received her law degree from UMKC and a master’s degree in real estate law from The John Marshall Law School. In 2016, Stephanie was promoted to Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. In her new role, Stephanie will serve as AWG’s Chief Legal Officer and will lead all legal affairs for the company and its subsidiaries.
