To-Jo Mushrooms To Sponsor Kennett Square Mushroom Drop

AVONDALE, Pennsylvania  – To-Jo Mushrooms, Inc. announces today that it will Sponsor "Midnight in the Square 2014", the Inaugural Kennett Square New Year's Eve Mushroom Drop. To-Jo is showing its support by underwriting the 700-pound, 8 ft. tall stainless steel mushroom that will be dropped at midnight – a tribute to the areas Mushroom industry that drives tremendous economic growth for the region.

Event organizers are asking all who attend to bring a non-perishable food item to support the Kennett Food Cupboard, and are expecting thousands of revelers and their families to attend the first ever New Year's Eve celebration being held in conjunction with the Kennett Square Merchants Association.

The event will take place at Union and State Streets. Admission is free, and includes live music and food from 9 pm – 12:30 am. Parking for Midnight in the Square will be available at Kennett High School and the 600 S Broad Street (Genesis) lot across from the high school. The shuttle buses will run from 9 pm to 12:30 am on New Year's Eve. Buses will drop off at Center & State.

Kennett Food Cupboard serves People in their Time of Need by providing 1,500+ individuals with food each month. Over the course of the year, they serve 675 families including over 1,000 children in our area.
