Steven Titlebaum Joins United Fresh Start Foundation As Director Of Development

WASHINGTON, D.C.  – The United Fresh Start Foundation welcomes Steven Titlebaum, CFRE, as its newly appointed Director of Development. In this role, Steven will be responsible for directing all fundraising efforts to help the foundation expand on its mission to increase children’s access to fresh produce.

Titlebaum brings more than two decades of nonprofit management experience, including vast development expertise with local and national nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining the foundation, he was the Director of Development at Gallaudet University, the world’s only university with programs specifically designed to accommodate deaf and hard of hearing students. At Gallaudet, he worked with major donors and developed funding strategies for special university projects.

“Steven will be a tremendous asset to our organization,” said United Fresh President & CEO Tom Stenzel. “We have already made great strides with our foundation, and we are eager to tap into Steve’s experience and knowledge to help grow the impact of our work.”

Prior to his time at Gallaudet, Steven was the Director of Resource Development for Capital Caring, where he managed corporate giving and created a Corporate Advisory Group. In addition, he has served on the board of the Association of Fundraising Professionals DC Chapter and on its Executive Committee as Vice President of Membership. Steven has a Bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s degree in Human Services Administration from Spertus College in Chicago. He holds a Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) designation and has taught multiple classes on the many aspects of fundraising and development.

Steve began work at the United Fresh Start Foundation on September 23.
