Potandon Produce Now Shipping From Arizona

Idaho Falls, ID – Potandon Produce L.L.C., the exclusive marketing agent for Pinto Creek Co., LLC in Eloy, Arizona, announced today that its fresh potato season has begun in Arizona.

J.P. Surerus, Director of Variety Operations at Potandon stated, “Our 2017 Arizona mini potato crop looks excellent after a great growing season.”  Surerus also remarked that yields appear to be above average and promotable volumes on mini potatoes will be available immediately.

Potandon will be shipping mini potatoes, red potatoes, and gold potatoes in the Green Giant™ label from Pinto Creek, in all standard retail package sizes plus specialty and standard foodservice cartons.

Red and yellow potatoes shipments will take place from Arizona until the July 4 weekend. Mini red, mini yellow, medley packs and purple potatoes will ship through August.  Potandon will also move Arizona product to their Idaho cross-dock facility starting next week, to give their customers more options and to allow for greater efficiencies with mixed product loads.

Pinto Creek is a PRIMUS certified facility and will have full-time Quality Assurance personnel stationed at the facility for the entire season.  The packing facility has seen constant improvement over the past five years, from a new storage facility to state of the art grading and sizing equipment. The commitment of the ownership and the staff has elevated Pinto Creek to one of the premier red potato packing sheds in the southwest.
