Phoenix's Stern Produce Lands $17M Order From Pentagon

Stern Produce Co. in Phoenix has received a $16.6 million order from the U.S. Department of Defense. Stern will provide fruit and vegetables to military and civilian agencies, according to a DOD contract announcement.

The procurement is for 18 months with two 18-month option periods, according to the Pentagon.

Stern managers did not respond to requests for comment on the deal.
