"Of course, strawberries arrived early so you're looking at the picker," said Bernie Kenan, Bernie's Berries and Produce co-owner.

Bernie's Berries and Produce in Greensboro is short staffed due to the early strawberry season. Bernie Kenan says she will get her seasonal workers in at the end of the week. The six-and-a-half acre crop is ready nearly two weeks ahead of schedule.

"Then we had that real warm temperature come so strawberries started awakening say, 'oh, it's time for me to start doing something.' Well then it turned cold. Well, as soon as it turned warm again they're back awake and they're starting to bloom," said Kenan.
