Morning Kiss Organic Receives AA Food Safety Rating From BRC Global Standards For Second Consecutive Year

Chelsea, MA – For the second year in a row, DiSilva Fruit, parent company of Morning Kiss Organic, has been certified with a AA Food Safety Rating by the British Retail Consortium (BRC), a leading trade association. The BRC is an internationally recognized accreditation body for the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). GFSI participants are recognized worldwide as adhering to the highest standards in the food-manufacturing industry.

Morning Kiss Organic was among the first companies to receive the AA Food Safety Rating, which was introduced with BRC Food Issue 7 in 2015 to foster continuous improvement amongst participants. The rarely award AA rating is a result of Morning Kiss Organic’s exceptional safety practices, distribution center cleanliness, and employee training. Over the multi-day audit this spring, BRC inspectors reviewed key components of food safety to ensure programs are in place as follows – cleaning and sanitation, pest control, maintenance program, personal hygiene, staff training, supplier control, receiving, shipping and storage, chemical, metal, brittle plastic & glass control, waste management and traceability program.
