Five members of the Los Angeles Catholic community will be honored for their years of service to Church and the community by Archbishop José H. Gomez, at the 2022 Cardinal’s Award dinner, among the honorees is Allen Lund Company’s Executive VP, Kenny Lund.
Kenny Lund is being recognized for his work at the Saint Edward Retreat Center.
Kenny commented, “This award acknowledges the tradition of giving by my family and the Allen Lund Company. I will accept it on behalf of all the great people in my life who constantly reach out to improve our community and our church. I am blessed.”
Kenny Lund can only frame it as “divine intervention” that his entire family has come to embrace ownership of the Saint Edward Retreat Center and Camp Lolek in Wrightwood for the last two years.
Some 7,000 feet up in the San Gabriel Mountains, the tranquil 215-acre spot may feel as close to heaven on earth as Lund could imagine. Now he and his family plan to share it with thousands of soul-searching Catholics for years to come.
