INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana  — Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), a national Career and Technical Student Organization with nearly 155,000 members, has partnered with The Produce Mom®.   FCCLA provides personal growth, leadership development, and career preparation opportunities for students in Family and Consumer Sciences education.

The Produce Mom has a history of working with FCCLA in the state of Indiana, primarily with efforts focused on promoting FCCLA@TheTable, a national campaign that encourages teens to plan and prepare healthy meals for their families.  “FCCLA is the only in-school student organization with the family as its central focus.  With over 6,000 chapters in all 50 states, including the Virgin Islands & Puerto Rico, The Produce Mom’s partnership with FCCLA provides a unique opportunity for the fresh produce industry to connect with teens throughout America ,” states Lori Taylor, Owner of The Produce Mom.

“The Produce Mom offers great tools, inspiration, and accessibility to our student leaders,” explains Sandy Spavone, Executive Director of FCCLA.  “Our Indiana members have enjoyed learning more about fresh produce industry careers and attending unique events such as NatureFresh™ Farms’ #GreenInTheCity.  Our national organization looks forward to collaboration and educational opportunities with The Produce Mom Family of Partners.”

FCCLA will showcase the business growth and family focus of The Produce Mom during the 2015 FCCLA National Cluster Meeting.  Lori Taylor is scheduled to present and speak in a workshop at the November event.
