CASHMERE, Wash.  — Crunch Pak®, the sliced apples specialist, is building its market research capabilities with the hire of a new business analyst Jenni James.

James joins Crunch Pak with a wealth of analytic experience having spent the last few years as a professor of agribusiness at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, Calif., where she taught classes as well as managed custom research projects.

Prior to Cal Poly, James was an assistant professor in the Agricultural Economics and Rural Sociology department at The Pennsylvania State University; she has also operated as a private consultant on agriculture-related ventures.

James holds a doctorate and a master of science degree in agricultural and resource economics from the University of California, Davis; her fields of specialization include quantitative analysis, econometrics and agricultural policy.

This is a new position at Crunch Pak that reports to the senior product manager.

“We are at a critical juncture in the growth of our business and it’s imperative that we have educated, experienced staff managing the multiple sources of market research we invest in annually,” said Tony Freytag, senior vice president of sales and marketing. “Jenni’s leadership will benefit us as we work to design and implement new new reporting systems and structures.”
