Salm Partners LLC, a sausage manufacturer in the Brown County village of
Denmark, will receive aid totaling $1 million from the state of Wisconsin to
help finance a $9.26 million expansion that’s expected to create 100 jobs.
The aid package consists of a $900,000 Community Development Block Grant for
Economic Development loan from the Department of Commerce to upgrade and expand
its operations, and a $100,000 grant to train new employees, Gov. Jim Doyle said
Wednesday in announcing the package.
We chose to expand in northeast Wisconsin because of the wonderful people who
call this area home, Salm Partners founding member Chris Salm said in a press
release. Our business is successful and has had the opportunity to add to our
employment because of the energy and enthusiasm of our partners.”
