More Than 60 Premium Pork Cuts Raffled Off in High-Energy Community Event

MILWAUKEE, WI – A beloved Midwest tradition took center stage in a new way as Prairie Fresh® Pork hosted the first-ever Pork Raffle in Milwaukee, drawing an enthusiastic standing room only crowd of 300 + attendees to Lakefront Brewery for an afternoon of food, fun and community impact.

The inaugural event brought the classic meat raffle experience to life at scale, with Prairie Fresh raffling off more than 60 cuts of premium pork, including ribs, pork butts, tenderloins, bacon and sausage, across fast-paced prize rounds that kept guests engaged from start to finish.

All proceeds from raffle ticket sales benefited Hunger Task Force, Milwaukee’s only Free & Local food bank, helping support hunger relief efforts across the region. The event raised over $3,600 to directly support individuals and families in need.

Headlining the event was Matt Abdoo, Prairie Fresh Pitmaster Ambassador and Beat Bobby Flay champion, who engaged with guests throughout the afternoon and brought added excitement to the high-energy atmosphere.

Building on a long-standing Wisconsin tavern tradition, the Prairie Fresh Pork Raffle elevated the format into a large-scale, community-driven experience, blending food culture, entertainment and philanthropy. Guests enjoyed live music from Milwaukee’s own DJ Shawna, while Milwaukee influencer JMatt kept the energy high as emcee, engaging the crowd throughout the event. Piggly Wiggly’s iconic Mr. Pig mascot also made a special appearance, adding to the festive and highly visual atmosphere.

“The response to Milwaukee’s first Pork Raffle exceeded expectations,” said Ozlem Worpel, vice president of marketing and innovation at Seaboard Foods, producer of Prairie Fresh, “From the energy in the room to the meaningful funds raised for Hunger Task Force, this event showed how food can bring people together in a powerful and impactful way.”

As meat raffles continue to gain renewed interest across the Midwest and beyond, Prairie Fresh’s debut in Milwaukee signals growing momentum for the tradition—reimagined for a new generation of food lovers and community supporters.
