UNFI Foundation’s Annual Charity Classic Raises $1.1M to Expand Access to Quality Food

The UNFI Foundation hosted its annual golf Charity Classic, raising a record $1.1M to advance the Foundation’s mission of empowering changemakers to create more sustainable and equitable food systems across North America. UNFI suppliers and industry partners came together to connect on the course, learn about the Foundation’s mission, and engage directly with organizations making a difference in their communities. 

During the event, attendees heard from UNFI Foundation grantees on how the Foundation’s support translates into meaningful, on the ground impact. Farm Fresh Rhode Island shared how its work is helping to strengthen local food systems, while World Central Kitchen highlighted the importance of providing rapid food relief during times of crisis. Each organization was awarded a $50,000 grant as part of the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to food access and community wellbeing.
