Fredericksburg, PA — FreeBird, a leader in antibiotic-free chicken has added Peri-Peri to its marinated line of retail packed whole chickens (WOGS), boneless breasts and party wings. As always, the proprietary recipes are made with antibiotic-free chicken and all-natural ingredients.
“Peri-Peri was named the number 1 flavor by McCormick in 2011, so we wanted to give our customers a way to be on top of this trend,” said Barb Quijano, Vice President of Marketing for Hain Pure Protein Corporation.
Peri-Peri (“pepper-pepper”) is a popular ingredient in Southeast Asian, African and Portuguese cooking and adds heat to recipes. Peri-Peri is the eighth SKU in Freebird’s marinated WOG and Boneless Breast selections, which also include Honey Barbeque, Lime Cilantro, Sweet Asian, Smokey Chili Chipotle, Roasted Garlic Herb, Latin Spice Brand and Classic Brined. It is the third marinated wing SKU, joining Honey Barbeque and Buffalo-style.
The whole chickens are 3.25-3.75 lbs and are sold 10 to a case. The boneless-skinless breasts and party wings are offered in 12 packages per case.

In addition, the proprietary recipes are made with all-natural ingredients, which means that there are no additives or preservatives.
