Changes are in the works for Hawaii-based cattle company and livestock processor Kunoa Cattle Company after signing its largest partnership with a Hawaii grocery chain.
The company, which manages a herd of 2,000 cattle on Kauai, has partnered with all Times Supermarkets locations on Oahu and Maui to sell its ground beef.
Kunoa also announced that it will be investing more than $650,000 in upgrades to its 7-acre Kapolei facility, which the company acquired in November. The upgrades are focused on enhancing animal welfare, preserving meat quality and improving food safety.
