ARCADIA, Wis. — Gold’n Plump recently completed expanding its production facility by 22,000 square feet.
The facility, purchased in 1993 by Gold’n Plump, finished its latest expansion at a cost of $25.4 million, along with $8.9 million for more breeder and grower barns in the area.
The expansion, first announced in 2006, was for $38 million and would have been partly funded by a $975,000 Wisconsin Department of Commerce low-interest loan.
Gold’n Plump decided not to take the loan along with a $25,000 training grant and the project was delayed due to economic conditions, said Bill Petz director of Arcadia operations.
