GAINESVILLE, GA – Gainco, Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer of yield enhancement and yield tracking systems and equipment for poultry, meat and other food processing operations, announces that Samuel Collup has been named Director of Sales for the company.
In his responsibilities, Collup will oversee Gainco’s worldwide sales activities including the formulation of selling strategies, business development efforts and key account support.
Collup comes to Gainco from its parent company, Bettcher Industries. Since 2011 he served as a regional manager for Bettcher, responsible for sales and service activities for the company’s food processing products in the Mountain and Pacific region of the United States.
Prior to joining Bettcher, Collup held positions at Foster Farms, Zacky Farms and Pittman Family Farms. He spent ten years with the Foster Farms organization in several key positions of progressive responsibility, including serving as a hatchery plant manager and feed mill manager at three Foster Farms facilities located in California and Oregon. Collup’s responsibilities there included managing all day-to-day operations from commodity receiving and production to distribution, along with employee training, QC and safety initiatives. While at Foster Farms, he also created and implemented a HACCP program and hazardous energy control procedures.
Collup holds a B.S. degree in Animal Science – Production Management from California State University in Fresno.
