Congratulations are in order for Albertson’s in Abilene. Their full-page advertisement on USDA Quality Beef Grades in the June 13 Abilene Reporter-News is superb.
A lot of confusion has been created during the past few years by some grocery stores labeling beef cuts with names such as “farmer’s choice,” “housewife’s choice,” “rancher’s choice,” etc. Putting the word “choice” behind a brand name does not make a cut of meat “USDA Choice.”
When you next want a nice tender and juicy steak, go into your grocery store and ask for a rib-eye steak graded “USDA Choice.” If your grocery store doesn’t have this USDA Choice steak, go to Albertson’s.
