Garner, N.C. – Abby Grandinetti, Butterball LLC’s food safety and animal care specialist, received an International Production & Processing Expo (IPPE) “30 Under 30” award at the 2019 IPPE event in Atlanta. She was recognized for her leadership qualities within the meat and poultry manufacturing industry.
Grandinetti joined Butterball in 2017 as a food safety and animal care specialist. She is responsible for the development and implementation of new practices within the corporate Animal Care and Well-Being program. Grandinetti is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in animal science with a concentration in industry and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in animal science.
Molly Parker, director of food safety and animal care, was recently named to the board of trustees for the Poultry & Egg Sustainability and Welfare Foundation (PESWF). The PESWF is responsible for oversight, control and management of the PESWF affairs and will help drive the poultry and egg industry’s mission to advance, support and communicate continuous improvement in sustainability and animal welfare.
Parker was recognized with an IPPE “30 Under 30” award in 2018.
Michelle Lieszkovszky, marketing manager of emerging innovation, has been appointed to a three-year term on the International Dairy Deli Bakery Association’s board of directors.
As part of her role, Lieszkovszky will be working with two advisory committees to direct show events and influential industry speakers, as well as guide market research insights to be applicable to the trade and the future editions of IDDBA’s “What’s in Store” publications.
Prior to joining Butterball’s innovation team, Lieszkovszky was the brand manager, deli for Butterball retail marketing.
George Smith, senior manager, warehousing, has been appointed to the advisory council for Feeding America to help advance the way Feeding America partners with food companies. Smith has more than 30 years of experience in the food logistics industry.
