American Foods Group said Tuesday it agreed to purchase certain assets of Double D Foods of Oklahoma City.
The plant in Oklahoma City will be renamed American Prepared Foods.
Double D Foods is a division of Downs Food Group of Mankato, Minn., and provides fully-cooked chicken, beef, pork and turkey products.
Greg Benedict, American Foods president and COO, said the acquisition allows his company to expand its product lines into the cooked food and ready-to-eat markets.
