Chicago – World Floral Expo’s move to hold its next edition in the Mid West in Rosemont, Chicago, Illinois, is looking at a very strong pre registration so far. Especially wholesale companies are signing up in promising numbers and since they are the prime target group of the trade show, the organizers of the trade show are optimistic about a good turn out of this edition. Furthermore the number of registering (Miami) importers as well as bigger retailers is catching up. It is a good sign that buyers are not only coming from Illinois but from from many other states of the USA. Also a good number of Canadian buyers appear to attend World Floral Expo that is taking place later this month from Wednesday March 26 to Friday March 28.
Until now flower growers from more than 10 different countries will be displaying their flowers availabe for exports in this primarely grower-to-buyer event. Ecuador, Colombia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Peru, Holland, USA, Canada, Costa Rica and Thailand are already in and more countries are still expected to come in after the heat of last week’s shipments for International Womens Day that took place on March 8. The event is basically directed to enable American buyers to source their flower needs without having to leave their country.
Bringing the grower to the buyer is part of the corporate concept HPP Exhibitions is putting into the market of flower trade shows and for this purpose organizes trade shows by either bringing buyers to the countries where the flowers are produced or by bringing growers to the countries where the flowers are being sold, as is happening later this month in Rosemont, Chicago.
Entrance to the show is admitted to any professional active in the field of the fresh cut flower trade. To apply for a free entry badge to the show, please go to www.worldfloralexpo.com.
