CANBY, Ore. – Terra Nova Nurseries recently announced it’s expanding the Penstemon Taffy™ series with the introduction of ‘Boysenberry Taffy’, which is now available to garden centers. ‘Boysenberry Taffy’ is a garden-friendly variety with a tidy habit of non-browning flowers that do not require deadheading. It performs well in summer and fall gardens, blooming from June until October.
Penstemon ‘Boysenberry Taffy’ has huge flower spikes that hold large, berry-wine colored flower heads. ‘Boysenberry Taffy’ is a brand new color addition to the company’s Penstemon Taffy series, which is the market’s longest blooming collection of penstemon. It has a superior crown count, strong lateral growth as well as produces upright clumps of glossy, green foliage. This variety has an average size of 18” Width / 18” Height / 28” Flower Height and is perfect for zones 7-9. It grows best in full sun and prefers to be moderately dry between waterings.
