At the HortiFair 2010 rose ‘Miss Piggy+’ was honoured with the Fleur Primeur Rose 2010. This new rose from rose producer De Singel is a strong flower with a pleasant scent that is suitably described as ‘eyecatching and innovative’. It’s not the first time that attention falls to Miss Piggy+’s share; the rose was nominated for ‘The Glass Tulip 2010’ as well and also made an important contribution to the flower decorations at Swedish crown princess Victoria’s wedding in the summer of 2010.
The winner of ‘The Glass Tulip 2010’ was second in line for the Fleur Primeur Rose 2010 at the HortiFair. Rose ‘Deep Water’ by Zuurbier & Co was honourably nominated for her innovative color, her appearance, her durability and her commercial value.
Prizes were also awarded to the cuttings that Italian FFP producers entered for 'the House of Quality' and that are available under the FFP – Fiore Giusto label since July 2010. Producer Marco Damele received a gold medal for his top quality Asparagus Plumosus, l’Azienda Agricola Eredi Damele Antonio earned the bronze medal with their Asparagus entry for the ‘House of Quality’.
At the same time 2 employees of FFP florist JP Bloembinders from Gouda were awarded with the 1st and 2nd prize for their innovative Christmas decorations at the Marktplaats Event of FloraHolland Bleiswijk on the 12th and 13th of October. Needless to say that owner Jan Poels is very proud of his employees Daniëlle and Esther!
FFP congratulates her participants with these beautiful results!
