Pittsburgh Cut Flower Co. Strip District Warehouse Sold To Auto Dealer

As it prepares to move into the Strip District next year with a new Audi dealership, Monroeville-based automotive dealership #1 Cochran is buying up more property in the neighborhood. But it won’t say exactly why.

The car dealer recently purchased a warehouse at 1901 Liberty Ave. now occupied by Pittsburgh Cut Flower Co. for $1.95 million, according to Allegheny County real estate records.

Neal Jennings, Cochran’s vice president and chief financial officer, said the property — just a couple of short blocks from the planned Audi location — will be used to “support the automotive business in general,” but he would not be more specific.
