The world’s flower fraternity will for the first time meet in Nairobi this month for the International Flower Trade Exhibition (Iftex), bringing producers and buyers under one roof.
Iftex will be held from March 21 to 23 at the Oshwal Centre in Nairobi, and will offer participants and global players in the flower sector an opportunity to interact and conduct business.
It is the first time the global flower exhibition will be held in Kenya and comes at a time when business in the sector is on an upward curve, despite the economic uncertainties in European and other western markets.
According to Mr Dick Raamsdonk, president of HPP International Group of Netherlands, the show will herald what promises to be the world’s largest showcase of flowers in the coming years. It will be held every two years.
